ARC honored by Arts Council of Greater New Haven

The Architecture Resource Center was honored for its contribution to the "Creative Ecosystem" by the Arts Council of Greater New Haven. The awards were given during the 37th Arts Awards Luncheon at the New Haven Lawn Club on December 4, 2017.

Accepting the award for ARC was Founder and Executive Director Anna Sanko who took the opportunity to share with attendees some stories from her classroom sessions with students and teachers. ARC will serve more than 600 New Haven third-grade students this year. Unlike other arts/design education programs, ARC programs are delivered in the classroom and include all students.

While very popular with New Haven Public Schools, teachers, and the students, ARC's services and achievements are not visible to the general public. Receiving this award in a public setting among other arts organizations, advocates, and funders was a rare and welcome experience.
